Chorally trained at Ripon Cathedral, Rupert came to the bass late at 18.

 

After graduation from Guildhall, he embarked on a freelance career, highlights including London Virtuosi, D'Oyly Carte, Scarborough Spa Orch, RPO, BBC Symphony & 2years in Norway with Trondheim SO.

 

He became a member of English National Opera in Aug 2000. 

 

Work now also includes Royal Opera House, Royal Northern Sinfonia, BBC Concert Orch, BBC National Orchestra of Wales & film recording at Abbey Road & Air Studios.

Interests are Newcastle Utd, skiing, visiting Norway & camping with his son (who is not a NUFC fan!)
